The age-old logic of  'why buy when you can rent' certainly rings true with weddings. As you begin to plan your special event, you may choose to rent certain items. Renting not only saves money but is also more convenient, as some companies will deliver and set up items. 

If you plan to have an outdoor wedding or reception, and are worried about the weather, a rental canopy or tent may be the perfect solution. There are two types of tents; the pole and rope and a framed version. Tents typically range in size from 20' by 20', to 30' by 120'. The walls are often plain white, cathedral or French cut with windows. Ceiling fans can usually be installed in some tents for minimal charge. Other examples of rental items include glasses, portable bars, decorations, candelabras, lawn umbrellas, chairs and chair covers and serving pieces. Consult your rental agency for advice and be sure to inquire about rental fees. You may also want to ask if the equipment requires a deposit.
